Lonely Planet - Jamaica, Christopher Baker
"Another good bargain with a stylish yet off-beat ambience is the recently and dramatically upgraded, Australian-run Rockhouse boasting thatched, hardwood rondavels of pine and stone, plus studios and standard rooms dramatically clinging to the cliff-side above a small cove. Décor is basic yet adequate, with mosquito-net-draped poster beds, and strong Caribbean colors. Each cabin has a ceiling fan, refrigerator, safe, mini-bar, alfresco shower, and sliding glass door opening to private, wrap around verandas. Catwalks lead over the rocks to an open-sided, multi-level dining pavilion (with one of the best restaurants around) and iron ladders and steps lead down to the ocean. A pool has been added atop the cliffs."

"The thatched Rockhouse Restaurant & Bar at the Rockhouse Resort offers Jamaican treats such as vegetable tempura with lime, ginger and soy, specialty pastas and king fish nicoise salad. Meals are served alfresco or under canopy on a pavilion overhanging the waters. Lamp-lit at night, it provides a romantic spot. It's open 7am to 11pm daily and serves large and hearty breakfasts, including muesli and pancakes."
